Aloha shirt is generally referred to as a Hawaiian
shirt which is a style of shirt
originating in Hawaii.
Aloha shirt
is at presently the premier textile export of the Hawaii manufacturing
industry. The shirts are printed; mostly the style is short-sleeved and
collared. They typically have buttons and sometimes for the whole length of the
shirt and sometimes just down to the chest area (called as pullover).
Aloha shirts
were usually having a left chest pocket and often with attention to ensure the
printed pattern remain permanent. Aloha shirts may be worn by men or women;
women's aloha shirts basically have a lower-cut and v-neck shape mode. Then the
lower hem should be straight, as the shirts are not meant to be tucked in.
Aloha shirts
manufactured to the mainland United States and in another place called Hawaiian
shirts and frequently brilliant colored with floral design patterns or motifs
and are worn for casual as well as informal occasion.
Traditional
men's aloha shirts manufactured for local Hawaiian residents, which are typically
decorated with traditional Hawaiian quilt designs and simple floral patterns in
more gentle colors.
Contemporary aloha shirts may have prints that do not attribute
any traditional Hawaiian quilt or floral designs and as an alternative it may
have such elements as automobiles, drinks, sports team logos / emblems or other
elements arranged in the same pattern as a traditional aloha shirt.
Aloha shirts
manufactured for local wear are considered formal wear in business and
government, and thus are regarded as equivalent to a shirt, coat and tie (normally
not viable in the warmer climate of Hawaii) in all but the most formal of
settings…
